Name : Isha Sharma Designation : Senior Scientist Address : CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Near Kukrail Picnic Spot, PO-CIMAP, Lucknow-226015, India E. mail : ishasharma[dot]cimap[at]csir[dot]res[dot]in Contact No : 6283561995 Epabx No. : 674 Download Resume Area of Specialization Building on prior experience in plant stress signalling, receptor trafficking, and functional genomics, we aim to delve into the emerging, yet largely untapped interaction between light signalling and plant cellular degradation pathways particularly autophagy and the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and its potential implications for plant development, stress acclimatization, and secondary metabolism. By leveraging modern tools such as genome editing, live-cell imaging, dynamic monitoring of autophagy and UPS activity, and multi-omics analyses, we seek to establish new regulatory models that uncover the molecular mechanisms linking environmental light cues with intracellular recycling processes.
