CIMAP's efforts on eco-friendly production of organic herbal products and aromas have been authenticated internationally by ECOCERT SA, an international organic certification agency. ECOCERT accredited Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow for organic cultivation and processing of plants and products. This has substantiated the green path approach of CIMAP for better health and life. It may be mentioned that considerable damage to our environment is caused by polluting chemical pesticides and fertilizers exposing human beings to various environmental and health hazards. CIMAP with organic cultivation as one of its niche areas of research has not only developed environmental friendly technologies but also has demonstrated in its own farm and in the farmer’s field.
